The delightful Nerine bowdenii ‘Stefanie‘, also known as the ‘Bowden Lily’ provides pretty light-pink petals that will brighten any garden border.
Nerine are summer-dormant, perennial bulbs that flower in autumn around September. They provide an eye-catching cluster of colour when all the other blooms are fading and past their best. The Nerine ‘Stefanie’ bears striking sprays of lily-like flowers with recurved petals and faint stripes, standing on stiff upright stems and accompanied by rich green foliage which develops in spring. Due to the slender tall stems, they can make stunning cut flowers at a time when blooms are scarce.
With excellent long-lasting blooms, it’s the perfect choice for adding interest to garden borders, rock gardens and containers. Plant in well-drained soil in a sunny position to thrive. In colder climates, it may need to be lifted and stored in a cool, dry place for the winter.
If you are planting in pots or containers, ensure you use a well-drained compost. Always plant with the neck of the bulb exposed between March, April, and May.
