Throughout the year families and volunteers can be found at the Arctic Animal Sanctuary by Lemax, but at Christmas time the place is bustling. Taking care of wounded, lost or abandoned arctic animals, the sanctuary can use all the help it can get.
Polar bears, arctic foxes, reindeer, snow hares, seals and even one year a walrus have found their way here. All the animals are cared for, rehabilitated and released back to their natural habitat. Although a few return from year to year, just to say hello. Originally released in 2023 as part of the Santa’s Wonderland collection.
