Native to South Africa, these tender cormous perennials, are easy to grow and require minimal maintenance. The Freesia buds appear during the summer months of June, July & August, offering a long-lasting bloom season. These delicate, bright flowers will fill your garden with a beautiful fragrance which makes them a firm favourite for garden borders and patio containers, they also make long-lasting cut flowers.

It’s best to plant the tender corms in spring around March or April time. They grow best when positioned in full sun and thrive in well-drained soil with plenty of peat and sand. You can plant in drifts or several together for a fuller more impactful effect in garden borders. They need to be lifted and stored before first frosts.
