The Dahlia ‘Muchacha’ bulb will provide a decorative addition to any garden border or bed.
The delicate, pretty petals open from a deep mauve centre with a small amount of cream yellow at the base of the petals, held up with dark green stems which are a visually striking contrast against the large decorative bloom.
Dahlia bulbs can be planted 15cm / 6″ deep in any fertile, well-drained soil. They can grow up to 120cm tall which makes them ideal for adding height and interest to the back of borders or within garden beds. Position in a sunny location for maximum flowering and impact.
This decorative Dahlia ‘Muchacha’ can be planted during the spring between the months of March through to June, ideally after the risk of frost and extreme cold temperatures have passed. After planting, water in well and monitor during the summer months. Use an all-purpose general plant feed for bigger and brighter blooms.
Deadhead regularly to encourage more flowers and cut back to near ground level in the autumn, before lifting and storing for the winter.
