The Anemone coronaria ‘St Brigid Mixed’ bulbs (corms) provide double-flowering Anemones for a fuller look, thanks to the large number of petals compared to the single blooms of other Anemones. The contrast between its delicate edged centre and full petal skirt will provide plenty of colour and interest in your garden borders or containers.
The St Brigid mix includes an array of colours including white, red, blue, and violet. They are incredibly easy to grow and very low maintenance. They love a sheltered sunny position and thrive in well-drained soil with a good supply of humus.
You can enjoy several months of colour by planting the Anemone coronaria corms at different times – if you want flowers in spring, you can plant the corms between September to December. If you want summer flowers you can plant the corms in spring between February and April. Anemones normally start to flower about three months after planting. We recommend soaking the corms overnight before planting for best results.
They will need protection form extreme cold winter temperatures and frosts.
