STIHL MSA 220 C-B Cordless Chainsaw – AP System

The MSA 220 C-B Cordless Chainsaw is STIHL’s most powerful rechargeable cordless chainsaw, with 20% more cutting power than the 3/8 inch P-PS and a 10% increase in the number of cuts per battery charge.

A high-performance, efficient and light weight battery powered chainsaw, the MSA 220 C-B is suitable for a wide variety of tasks. The secret of this chainsaw’s high performance cutting power comes from the 35cm bar with a full chisel 3/8 inch PS3 Pro saw chain. This means that it makes light work of felling, snedding, processing timber as well as tasks around the garden such as firewood sawing, garden maintenance and landscaping.

With all the advantages of electric power, such as being emissions free, this cordless chainsaw is quiet to operate, has low vibrations and features an innovative STIHL Ematic chain lubrication system. This means that your chainsaw will run smoother for longer, and consume less oil. Another handy feature is that both chain tensioning and oil refills can be completed without using tools.

Superbly balanced, with outstanding handling and convenience, STIHL’s MSA-220 C-B features an ergonomic design with a soft grips for comfort and improved control in the hand. It is also fully waterproof so it can be operated in all weathers, minimising downtime.

As you would expect of a premium product, safety comes hand in hand with the high-quality design of this chainsaw. It requires two-handed operation and has bumper spikes for safe and sturdy guidance as it accurately powers through wood. There is also an additional breaking system, with the Quickstop Super Chain Brake which stops the chain running when either the front hand guard is switched on or when you release the rear handle.

This chainsaw is sold without a battery or charger (sold separately) and is compatible with STIHL’s PRO series AP batteries such as the AP 200 or AP 300 S. An AP 300 S battery will provide up to 40 minutes of runtime on a single charge.

For maintenance, we recommend using STIHL’s Multi-functional Bio Oil and Superclean Resin Solvent to protect your blade against rust or resin and to help lubricate and loosen stuck parts or dirt.
