Exceptionally pretty and long-lasting, Tulipa 'Cummins' will strut its stuff in style, producing violet-pink, cup-shaped petals with a finely incised, spiked white fringe.
Blooming throughout April and May, these tulips will grow to a height of around 40cm/16". Thanks to its excellent growth, great performance and reliable durability, this variety was awarded the prestigious Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society. It is also a member of the RHS Plants for Pollinators collection, due to its value in attracting and supporting bees and other pollinators in the garden.
These stunning spring flowering bulbs are ideal for planting in beds, borders, pots and containers in clumps during the autumn. 'Cummins' tulips can be used in a wide range of colour schemes and should ideally be planted together, in groups of at least 10-15 for the greatest visual impact. These delightful flowers will also excel in floral bouquets, earning themselves a place in the cut flower garden.
'Cummins' tulips can be grown in a wide range of soils, be it acid, alkaline or neutral, provided there is good drainage, performing best in a position of full sun. Plant the bulbs approximately 15cm/6" deep and 10cm/4" apart.
