Tulip ‘Super Parrot’ (5 bulbs)

Large flamed ruffled flowers emerge from the magnificent Tulip ‘Super Parrot’ bulbs. With large creamy white petals that curl and twist, this movement is perfectly accentuated by a magnificent streak of soft green.

Fabulously flamboyant flowers, the buds emerge green and open with petals that resemble the plumage on a tropical bird. Growing to a height of around 45cm they are a wonderful choice for adding an exotic touch towards the front of a mixed border or for planting eye-catching containers. To get displays with impact, plant these bulbs in clusters. They also make an excellent cut flower that will stand out in cut flower displays around the home.

Despite their exotic appearance, these tulips and are easily to grow and reliable. Plant them in a sheltered position to protect the flowers from changeable British weather, in any soil, that is moist but free draining. Before planting the bulbs add some well-rotted manure and when the leaves start to emerge, apply a general-purpose fertiliser to ensure you get the best floral display.
