Admire frothy, fabulous sprays of lavender purple flowers on elegant black stems with this popular variety of meadow rue, Thalictrum ‘Black Stockings’. With clusters of fluffy flowers, the dark stems contrast with the greens of the foliage to create a wonderful summer display.
Tall and willowy in appearance, this perennial is perfect for planting at the back of a border and is well suited to cottage garden displays. It looks particularly striking combined with ornamental grasses or larger leafed plants for a show of texture and form as well as colour.
