The Sorbus aria ‘Lutescens’ is considered one of the best varieties of Whitebeam Tree available. Its enchanting silver foliage elevates this tree above other cultivars, and its delicate ridged and rounded leaf shape looks magnificent.
In spring the leaves are highlighted by clusters of creamy-white flowers. As the flowers fade, they turn into berries, which in autumn transform into vibrant shades of orange and red. The vibrancy of the berries is complemented by the glorious golden shades of the leaves to create a glorious display.
As the tree matures, it has a compact rounded growth habit that makes it perfect as a central feature in your garden, with its range of ornamental qualities. It will also work well used as avenue planting.
