With large trusses of open funnel-shaped flowers, this shrub carries striking and dramatic displays of blooms to enjoy from late April to May. How to care for your plant
To get the best from your Rhododendron, position it in a partially shaded place that is sheltered from the harsh winter wind, in moist but free draining acidic (ericaceous) soil. Avoid planting your Rhododendron too deeply and aim to keep the root crown slightly above the soil level to prevent rot.
