A 'Rhapsody Wight' bulb grows into a superb soft neck garlic variety that produces large, bright bulbs with deep purple streaks and mottling. It is a heritage variety that originates from the village of Cadours in south west France, and has been re-selected and developed over several years to ensure it performs well in the UK climate.
Rhapsody Wight garlic has a fresh, zingy flavour that is perfect for all your favourite recipes including soups, sauces, roasts and much more. It can be used cooked or raw, and is also excellent when harvested "green".
The earliest of all purple garlic varieties, Rhapsody Wight is ready from the end of May if planted at the ideal planting time of October or November. Expect to uncover 5-12 large and easy-to-peel garlic cloves from each vibrant purple bulb.
