An incredible variety of dwarf pear tree, Pyrus ‘Prince William’ combines charming white flowers, a compact and neat growing habit with an abundance of juicy pears, making it a worthy addition to any garden. Grafted on to BA29 rootstock, this pear tree has been specially bred to retain a small shape throughout its life and will not exceed one metre in height and 75cm in width.
This makes it a wonderful addition to an array of smaller gardens and spaces. Admire it as part of mixed display in your flower beds, where it will add structure without overpowering, or plant multiple in a row as a garden edging. It will also thrive in a large container allowing you to admire it next to entrances, on patios and even small balcony areas.
Easy to maintain and reliable to grow, simply position your pear tree in a sunny but sheltered spot in any moist but free draining soil. It does not require pruning, just remove any dead or damaged branches in February and you will enjoy a delicious crop from the second year of planting.
Note: This pear tree will be most reliable at growing fruit when positioned next to another pear tree or even another pear ‘Prince William’.
