The Prunus ‘Shizuka’ Cherry Blossom Tree, also known as the Fragrant Cloud, is a magnificent variety that produces masses of fragrant semi-double ivory white flowers.
Almost entirely covering the branches throughout April and May, these wonderful sparkling white blooms gradually turn to shades of pink at they mature to create a beautiful mix of colour. This is complemented by elegant foliage that emerges bronze and slowly turns to mid green before changing to orange and crimson hues in autumn.
Best suited to medium or large gardens, this fast-growing ornamental tree creates a magnificent focal point with colour and interest that changes with seasons. It is also reliable and easy to grow and has received the prestigious Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit for its consistent and healthy growth in the garden.
