Phyllostachys aurea fishpole bamboo

Phyllostachys aurea is more commonly known as fishpole bamboo. Perfect for creating a boundary or screen. It grows tall and upright and suits large areas in a garden.

This bamboo has grooved bright green canes which when exposed to sun turn yellow to brown over time. The variety of cane colours makes them ideal as a focal point. To display the lower canes, simply strip the lower leaves to make this specimen stand out. We recommend using a simple rhizome barrier control fabric if planting into the garden to control growth and avoid runners popping up unexpectedly.
