With delicately ruffled petals and rich plummy hues, Papaver ‘Patty’s Plum’ is a perennial poppy that will add a touch of oriental beauty to garden displays. It is available as a single bulb and grows magnificent large flowers with a blotch of black at the base.
Growing above bristly grey green foliage, the flowers look wonderful when planted as part of a relaxed planting scheme, such as cottage gardens or wildlife areas. They will flourish planted in flower beds and borders but also can be enjoyed as a striking cut flower in displays around the home.
In addition to its wonderful blooms, this perennial is also a great way to attract bees and other pollinators into your garden. This has been recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society who have added it to their Plants for Pollinators Collection.
