Also known as Grape Hyacinth, Muscari armeniacum 'Peppermint' is a compact perennial that grows dense and compact racemes of bell-shaped white and blue flowers. These small ice-blue flowers each feature a fine white lip with increasing ratios of white towards the tip of the flower spike. It is also a member of the RHS Plants for Pollinators collection due its ability to draw bees and other large pollinators to the garden.
Flowering in April these bulbs will make a fantastic addition to beds, borders, containers, rock gardens, around shrubs, paving stones or under deciduous trees. They will look amazing when mixed with any other flowering bulbs and look best when planted en masse in groups.
Muscari are tolerant of any well drained soil in full sun or partial shade and should be planted around 5cm deep and 10cm apart.
