Muscari azureum, also known as Grape Hyacinth, is an award winning, compact perennial that grows beautiful bell-shaped blue flowers. Like most Muscari, it has a lovely fragrance that further enhances the spring-time display.
Recipient of the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit, this variety is fully hardy and reliable with excellent pest and disease resistance. It is also a member of the RHS Plants for Pollinators Collection with a proven ability to attract bees and other large pollinators to the garden.
Flowering in March and April these bulbs are a fantastic addition to beds, borders, containers, rock gardens, around shrubs, paving stones or under deciduous trees. They will look amazing when mixed with any other flowering bulbs and look best when planted en masse in groups.
Muscari is tolerant of any well drained soil in full sun or partial shade and should be planted around 5cm deep and 10cm apart.
