The Malus ‘Butterball’ is a beautiful variety of ornamental crab apple tree that grows masses of scented white flowers that are flushed pink.
As the flowers fade, the beautiful foliage gradually changes from grey green to a vibrant mid-green shade that looks magnificent against the fruit. Appearing in tight clusters, the crab apples emerge in vibrant shades of yellow and orange, flushed with red. The weight of this new fruit means that the branches gently droop to create an elegant arch.
