A wonderful addition to the winter garden, Ilex Verticillata ‘Jingle Bells’ has cherry red clusters of berries throughout winter.
With delightful glossy green toothed leaves throughout spring and summer, these turn to warm orange hues in autumn. Once the foliage falls it shows its brilliant red berries covering its branches. In spring the foliage is joined by delightful white flowers that further add to its ornamental appeal across the seasons.
Perfect for planting in pots and containers as well as beds and borders, the berry covered branches also look wonderful in cut flower displays around the home and are highly sought-after by florists for their winter arrangements.
Low maintenance and easy to grow, simply plant this shrub in moist but free draining soil, in a sunny or partially shaded position. As this is a female variety, it will need a male to be planted in proximity for it to produce berries year after year.
