Perfect for adding cottage garden appeal or for adding beauty to smaller spaces, Hydrangea paniculata ‘Polestar’ is a compact, colour-changing delight. With a long flowering season, its blooms first emerge white and slowly change to bright pink hues, creating a charming mix of colours to enjoy through to autumn.
It has a small and compact shape that means it is perfect for adding light and bright hues to an array of smaller spaces around the garden. It will flourish in pots and containers but also looks wonderful as underplanting or can be part of a mixed display alongside ferns, hostas, alliums and much more. With an abundance of flowers, there are more than enough to enjoy in fresh cut and dried flower arrangements around the home as well.
Easy and reliable to grow, plant Hydrangea paniculata ‘Polestar’ in a position with full sun or partial shade, in moist but free draining soil. Prune back in spring to within a few shoots of the old woody growth, leaving the dried flowerheads on throughout the winter to protect it from the harsh weather.
