Hyacinthus orientalis 'Delft Blue' is an upright bedding bulb producing beautiful striking Hyacinthus with porcelain blue flowers forming a cylindrical cluster.
Reaching a height of around 25cm/10", these 'Delft Blue' bulbs will flower early in the spring for a bright and bold display that will expand over time as they naturalise.
They are ideal for planting in pots or containers such as window boxes or alternatively at the front of an early spring flowering bed or border. They particularly excel when planted in clusters among other strongly coloured hyacinths such as 'Carnegie' or 'White Pearl'. Hyacinth will also make for long lasting cut flowers with their powerful fragrance.
Hyacinth prefer a moist but well drained, acidic or neutral soil, in a position of full sun or partial shade. Plant the bulbs 15cm/6" deep and 15cm/6" apart.
