Hosta 'Lady Guinevere'

The Hosta 'Lady Guinevere' is a low growing, hardy perennial that produces large ruffled leaves of yellow with borders of deep-green.

This large clump forming Hosta will also produce beautiful stems of lavender flowers from June to July. It can reach a height of around 45cm with a spread of up to 75cm and is easy to grow and maintain.

These 'Lady Guinevere' Hostas, grown in-house at Gates Garden Centre, are sold in 3 litre pots and should ideally be mixed in with other perennials in beds and borders. They can be used in both city and informal cottage gardens and can also be planted in containers. They are particularly effective when used as groundcover or to underplant shrubs and roses.

Try to find a position in fertile, moist and well drained soil in part shade or full shade. Protect from slugs and snails and propagate by division in early spring or late summer. Remove spent foliage as required and clear up dead foliage when it dies back at the end of the growing season.
