Hosta 'Green Bag' (3-Litre Pot)

The Hosta 'Green Bag' is a smaller Hosta that produces sleek and elegant glossy green leaves, forming an impressive display of deciduous foliage. In the summer, lavender-blue bell-shaped flowers appear above the leaves on long slender stems.

This Hosta is easy to grow and maintain, reaching heights of around 40cm and spreading as wide as 90cm.

This 3 litre pot 'Green Bag' Hosta, grown in-house at Gates Garden Centre, is best planted in and among other perennials in beds and borders in a shaded garden. It is particularly effective when used as groundcover or to underplant shrubs and roses and can be used in both city and informal cottage gardens. Its large leaves also provide excellent coverage for dying bulb foliage.

Plant in a position of partial shade into fertile, moist and well drained soil. Watch for slugs and snails, remove spent foliage as required and clear up dead foliage when it dies back at the end of the growing season. Propagate by division in early spring or late summer.
