Helleborus ‘HGC Winter Ballet Liara’ (2-Litre Pot)

An explosion of large star-like blooms cover the enchanting ‘HGC Winter Ballet Liara’ hellebore from the premium quality Helleborus Gold Collection (HGC). A wonderful HGC Winter Ballet variety, the ‘Liara’ combines the classic Christmas Rose with the Lenton Rose Hellebore to create brightly coloured, sizeable flowers that are perfect for adding long-lasting and early flowering interest to shady areas of the garden.

With its mix of wonderful white and purple hues, the petals appear as though they have been carefully painted by an artist. This is topped off by the bright lemon-yellow stamen at the centre that creates a striking bloom and draws the eye in to admire its beauty.

This low maintenance and reliable flower also boasts wonderful glossy green foliage that is the perfect accent and frame for the wonderful flowers. It also has the additional benefit of being attractive to bees and other pollinators, so you have the joy of adding to the biodiversity of your garden as well.

To get the best display of Hellebore blooms, dig a hole at least double the size of the root ball. Immerse the potted root ball in a bucket of water before planting and wait for the bubbles to stop rising to the surface. Then loosen the soil around the hole and position the Hellebore, lightly covering it with soil. Once planted create a small circular ridge in the soil around the blooms to aid water retention. Ensure that your Hellebore doesn’t dry out, but don’t over water it either. You will then enjoy this floral delight, that returns year after year and lasts for decades.
