Helleborus ‘HGC Ice Breaker Max’ Snow Rose

With flowers that form in beautiful clusters above dark green foliage, the Helleborus ‘Ice Breaker Max’ Snow Rose, is part of the premium quality Helleborus Gold Collection (HGC), and is a wonderful way to break the winter ice. The vibrant star-shaped white blooms that adorn this magnificent variety of Snow Rose hellebore has a delicate tinge of green and bursts through the winter cold, adding interest and brightness to garden displays.

Perfectly framed by the dark green foliage, the neat and clustering blooms are a great addition to beds and borders and suit a range of garden styles. Snow Rose Hellebores have all the robust reliability and resistance to heavy ice and snow that you would expect from a Helleborus Gold Collection hellebore but with the addition benefit of being able to thrive in full sun. So, you can watch the magnificent ‘Ice breaker Max’ flourish in a variety of positions around the garden.

To get the best display of blooms, plant your Hellebore in a hole at least double the size of the root ball. Immerse the potted root ball in a bucket of water before planting and wait for the bubbles to stop rising to the surface. Then loosen the soil around the hole and position the Hellebore, lightly covering it with soil. Once planted create a small circular ridge in the soil around the blooms to aid water retention. Ensure that your Hellebore doesn’t dry out, but don’t over water it either. You will then enjoy this floral delight that returns year after year, getting more beautiful as it matures.
