Flowering in abundance from December through to April, Helleborus HGC® 'Ice N' Roses White' is a wonderful Snow Rose and is a charming addition to any winter garden. A member of the premium Helleborus Gold Collection (HGC), this evergreen perennial produces masses of large creamy white flowers that turn greenish as they fade, above dense, dark-green foliage.
In addition to the 'Ice N' Roses White' Hellebore being incredibly beautiful, it is also surprisingly easy to care for and low-maintenance. Fully hardy and well suited to UK weather conditions, it will thrive in moist, well-drained soil and even grows well in full sun or partial shade. Give it just a small amount of attention and this hellebore will reward you with year after year of stunning blooms.
Helleborus HGC® 'Ice N' Roses White' is a winter flowering plant, making it a rare source of colour and life in the garden during a time when little else is in bloom. It is excellent for winter planting in large wicker baskets or earthenware planters and looks great embellishing balconies, terraces and entrance areas.
To get the best display of Hellebore blooms, dig a hole at least double the size of the root ball. Immerse the potted root ball in a bucket of water before planting and wait for the bubbles to stop rising to the surface. Then loosen the soil around the hole and position the Hellebore, lightly covering it with soil. Once planted create a small circular ridge in the soil around the blooms to aid water retention. Ensure that your Hellebore doesn’t dry out, but don’t over water it either. You will then enjoy this floral delight, that returns year after year and lasts for decades.
