The Helleborus ‘HGC Ice N’ Roses Mary Marble’ has an abundance of large creamy white flowers that have a delightful raspberry pink edge and striking lemon-yellow stamen. Adding to the vibrancy and beauty of this wonderful hellebore, as the flowers mature the vibrant pink edging widens to change the colour of the petals and create a stunning mix of pink hues to admire.
In addition to its wonderful flowers, this hellebore has an abundance of delightfully marbled foliage, that adds to its ornamental appeal throughout its flowering season. With flowers growing on sturdy stems, the blooms retain a neat and compact shape, while its reliable and robust growth makes it an incredibly low-maintenance addition to the garden.
Part of the Helleborus Gold Collection (HGC), which is widely recognised as the best and most widely tested range of hellebores in the world, you have peace of mind that you will enjoy the beauty of these winter flowering blooms for many years to come. The Ice N' Roses series from the HGC combines the Snow Rose, the Christmas Rose and the Lenton Rose to create highly floriferous, robust and reliable hellebores that thrive even in sunny areas of the garden and hold their perfectly formed blooms throughout its long flowering season.
A wonderful addition to any winter garden, these blooms look wonderful grown in pots and containers or added to beds and borders. They are beautiful planted in groups and will quickly create colourful ground cover to enjoy throughout winter. Alternatively plant this hellebore alongside the shade-loving Iris or grow it with a range of early flowering bulbs, such as crocuses or narcissus, for a colour-filled garden.
To get the best display of Hellebore blooms, dig a hole at least double the size of the root ball. Immerse the potted root ball in a bucket of water before planting and wait for the bubbles to stop rising to the surface. Then loosen the soil around the hole and position the Hellebore, lightly covering it with soil. Once planted create a small circular ridge in the soil around the blooms to aid water retention. Ensure that your Hellebore doesn’t dry out, but don’t over water it either. You will then enjoy this floral delight, that returns year after year and lasts for decades.
