Helleborus HGC® ‘Ice N’ Roses Early Red’ Snow Rose (4.5-Litre Pot)

Helleborus HGC ‘Ice N’ Roses Early Red’ Snow Rose is a charming, early flowering evergreen perennial from the premium quality Helleborus Gold Collection (HGC). The HGC premium collection includes different varieties of Christmas Rose, Snow Rose and Lenten Rose. The Ice N’ Rose series from the HGC is a combination of Snow Roses, Christmas Roses and Lenton Roses that creates early flowering blooms with a robust and reliable nature that cope well with snow and frost, that have the ability to thrive in full sun and retain a depth of colour that holds even as the flowers mature.

It features highly dense, dark green leaves which provide excellent coverage during the colder months, helping to withstand extreme cold and snow. From November onwards, it will also produce cup-shaped, deep purple flowers with vibrant central stamen that provides a much-needed burst of colour when other flowers are dormant. This charming and fully hardy hellebore thrives in borders, pots or containers and is perfect for front gardens, house entrances and terraces.

To get the best display of Hellebore blooms, dig a hole at least double the size of the root ball. Immerse the potted root ball in a bucket of water before planting and wait for the bubbles to stop rising to the surface. Then loosen the soil around the hole and position the Hellebore, lightly covering it with soil. Once planted, create a small circular ridge in the soil around the blooms to aid water retention. Ensure that your Hellebore doesn’t dry out, but don’t over water it either. You will then enjoy this floral delight as it returns year after year and lasts for decades.
