Hebe 'White Spritzer' is a compact, bushy evergreen shrub with ovate, glossy green foliage. From June to August it will produce prolific bottlebrush-type flower spikes that become covered with white flowers, starting from the base and progressing to the tip.
Taking between 5 to 10 years to reach an eventual height and spread of approximately 60cm, this versatile shrub would look great in a rock garden, a generous window box or a white themed herbaceous summer border. It grows well in pots and containers and will excel in a coastal climate.
Easy to maintain and grow, this Hebe suits a range of well drained soils but is best grown in poor to moderately fertile, neutral to slightly alkaline soil. Try to plant in a position of full sun or light shade with shelter from cold drying winds. Watch for aphids, fungal leaf spot, root rot and downy mildew. Propagate from semi-ripe cuttings in late summer or autumn.
