Hebe 'Pearl of Paradise' produces bright evergreen foliage of mid-green spear-shaped leaves as well as spikes of delicate, opal-like flowers that appear from early spring, attracting bees and butterflies.
It is perfect for adding a splash of colour when grown in containers or pots on the patio and can excel when planted among a lilac or mauve scheme in a summer flower bed or border. It will grow to a height and spread of approximately 60cm over a stretch of around 10 years.
It is best grown in poor to moderately fertile, neutral to slightly alkaline soil. Look for a position of full sun or light shade with shelter from cold drying winds. Watch for aphids or downy mildew and propagate from semi-hardwood cuttings.
