Hebe 'Lady Ann', also known as Shrubby Veronica, is an evergreen shrub with narrow, variegated foliage. These young leaves will emerge with flushes of pink and purple, maturing into silver and green. This foliage then forms the perfect backdrop for its spikes of dark pink flowers that will appear from June through to August.
Growing taller and wider than most Hebes, 'Lady Ann' can mature up to a reach of around 1.8m. This makes it perfect for filling out the back of a bed or border with applications in both city or informal cottage gardens. Hebes are also perfect for coastal gardens due to their ability to withstand a salty environment.
It will thrive in full sun, but can also tolerate light shade, in any soil that is moist but well drained. Once planted, add lots of organic matter and shelter from strong cold winds. Once established in the ground, it will only need watering in very dry conditions.
