Hebe 'Frozen Flame' is a rounded evergreen shrub that will form a mound of slender, grey-green leaves with silvery-white irregular margins. During colder weather these leaves will turn to a bright pinkish-purple. However, during the summer it will also produce clusters of small lavender-blue flowers that appear on the tips of the branches.
This shrub will grow to a height of approximately 60cm and a spread of 1m with its variegated foliage putting on a brightly coloured display all year round. It is perfect for edging, beds, borders or containers and is well suited to city gardens, coastal gardens, rock gardens or cottage gardens.
This Hebe will thrive in full sun or partial shade, in poor to moderately fertile, well-drained soils. It has a preference for moderately alkaline to neutral soil and should be protected from cold drying winds. It requires little maintenance and should rarely be affected by pests or disease however it can be damaged by aphids or downy mildew.
