Handy Parts Fuel Mixing Bottle

The Handy Parts Fuel Mixing Bottle is a clear plastic bottle with fuel markers showing the correct mixture of fuel vs lubricant for a 2-stroke engine that you will find in some petrol powered garden machinery, such as chainsaws, strimmers, brushcutters, blowers and vacuums.

With clear markers for precisely 1litre of fuel, plus lubricant mixture markers at 50:1, 40:1, 32:1 and 25:1 you will able to measure the correct quantity of oil for your 2 stroke engine.

Obtaining the correct mixture of oil in a 2 stroke engine is important as most don't have separate oil reservoirs, unlike 4 stroke engines.

Too little oil can lead to engine damage due to not enough lubrication, whilst too much oil can lead to your engine burning too much fuel which can emit black smoke, and cause oily residues around the exhaust, as well as carbon deposits in the engine. Too little or too much oil can both result in engine performance issues and damage to the engine, so it is important to get an accurate mix.

Most 2-stroke engines will require a 50:1 ratio of fuel to lubricant, however please assess the correct mix for your engine by consulting the engine manufacturer before use.

Once you have the correct mix in mind, simply pour up to the relevant fill lines, seal the bottle, give it a little shake to mix them together and you're good to go.
