Gladioli Nanus 'Elvira' is a charming, dwarf sword-lily that blooms with pale-pink flowers that are dashed with red kiss-like markings. These delightful shortened Gladioli are perfect for lighting up any summer border or container and work excellently when cut for floral displays.
A member of the Nanus variant, these hardy perennials retain many of the advantages of traditional Gladioli such as their large blooms and green sword-shaped leaves while being significantly more hardy and compact. For the best results, plant these bulbs in two week intervals from March into June to ensure a continual bloom throughout the summer.
Plant in clusters of five or more in a position of full sun with each bulb 8 cm deep and 10 cm apart. These Gladioli will need water during the growing period and mulching with peat or compost.
