An exotic-looking and enchanting bloom, the Fritillaria imperialis 'Rubra' Crown Imperial has a crown of bell-shaped flowers in deep orange, near red hues with a tuft of striking green foliage on the top. Growing on robust and upright deep purple stems, these flowers will be the star of your spring garden.
Perfect for planting in flowerbeds and borders, they can be used to add height variation to a mixed bed. They also make an excellent backdrop that accentuates the vibrancy of daffodils and tulips and are of course a wonderful addition to cut flower displays around the home.
In addition to this, the flowers are loved by bees and other pollinators, making it a great way attract a wide range of beneficial insects into your garden.
Fritillaria imperialis 'Rubra' is easy and reliable to grow and will return year after year. This robust nature has been recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society who have given it the Award of Garden Merit.
