Standing tall in garden displays, a Fritillaria imperialis ‘Lutea Max’ bulb, or 'Crown Imperial', grows into dramatic and exotic-looking golden yellow flowers. The downward facing flowers are topped off with a striking pineapple green top, that creates displays that forces you to stop and stare.
Grow it in your beds and borders, gravel gardens and containers, where they will return year after year with its incredible display of flowers. Or plant more than one and you will have enough to admire it in your cut flower displays around the home as well.
Robust and easy to grow, these flowers look exotic but are fully hardy and well suited to the UK climate. This consistent and healthy growth has been recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society who have given it their prestigious Award of Garden Merit.
