An iconic, scarlet-red flower, Field Poppy Wild Flower Seeds grow into a beautiful summer blooms that are a haven for pollinators. A wonderful sight when planted as a swathe of colour, they add dramatic and eye-catching appeal.
Universally recognised as a symbol of remembrance, they thrive in newly exposed soil and grew in profusion across war-torn battle fields, made famous by the poem ‘In Flanders Fields’. With a striking aesthetic they are now a favourite in wildlife gardens, gravels areas, even pots and containers. With an abundance of flowers on slender stems, they also make a wonderful addition to cut flower arrangements around the home.
Also known as Flanders Poppy, Red Poppy, Common Poppy or by the botanical name Papave Rhoeas, these seeds will flourish when scattered in a sunny position in bare, freshly turned soil. Keep them well watered and they will create a low maintenance haven of colour and wildlife.
