Eranthis cilicica ‘Winter Aconite’ bulbs grow into charming cup-shaped, buttery yellow flowers. Emerging in February and March these flowers will last for several weeks, adding a much-needed burst of colour to garden displays.
Growing to just 10cm high, these charming yellow blooms are wonderful ground cover and will happily fill in gaps in garden displays. They also have the added benefit of being a great way to attract bees and pollinators into your garden.
Perfect for planting under trees, naturalising at the edge of borders, containers, rockeries, between paving and woodland areas, they are incredibly versatile. Or combine them with snowdrops or dwarf iris for a colourful and joyful burst of colour.
Plant your Eranthis Cilicia bulbs in soil that is moist all year round, avoiding dry areas and ideally in a position that gets some winter sun. They are fully hardy, easy to grow and will survive through frost and snow.
