Dianthus 'Passion'

Compact and free flowering, Dianthus 'Passion' is a charming evergreen perennial that produces masses of highly scented, double, rich velvety red flowers that are highly attractive to bees and butterflies.

With regular deadheading these flowers can bloom from May until August, rising on short stems above a low cushion of green leaves.

These stunning perennials will grow up to around 25cm making them excellent for sunny rock gardens, garden edging, in containers or at the front of a summer border.

Fully hardy in all of the UK, this perennial can be left outside through the toughest of winters with no frost protection and is drought and heat tolerant.

Look for a position of full sun and plant into well drained, neutral or alkaline soil. Watch for slugs or aphids and deadhead regularly to prolong flowering.
