The irresistible layering of dahlia petals is accentuated by the wonderful array colours in this Decorative Dahlia ‘Summer Ball mix. Deep plum petals with white tips, mix with radiant reds and the subtlety of white blooms with just a hint of pink to create a celebration of summer.

With its fully double, formal and informal varieties of dahlia, these bulbs create a memorable mix of shapes, as well as colours, that look wonderful in beds and borders, as well as pots and containers.

• 1 x Decorative Dahlia Crazy Love which produces flowers that add subtle poise and beauty to this mix of bulbs. It has wonderful white petals with just a hint of pink that nods to the warmth of the other varieties.
• 1 x Decorative Dahlia Arabian Night produces flowers in rich red tones, that sometimes verge on almost black, and so earning its Arabian Night moniker.
• 1 x Decorative Dahlia Edinburgh produces flowers that have striking rich purple-red blooms with a wonderful white tip. Retaining a neat, round shape the colours are dazzling to admire.

Dahlias are a versatile bloom to admire around the garden, or as a cut flower to make exquisite floral arrangements around the home. With the wonderful free-flowering nature of dahlias, there will be more than enough for both.

We recommend planting dahlia tubers, between March and June into fertile, well-drained soil 15cm deep and 60cm apart. Position them in a sunny location for maximum flowering and impact. After planting, water in well and monitor during the summer months. Aim for one good soak once a week to the base of the plant. Deadhead regularly to encourage more flowers through till first frosts.
