Vanessa Bell® (Auseasel) is a bushy and upright English Shrub Rose, bred by David Austin. It has large clusters of medium sized yellow blooms, that have a delicate pale white edge. Each bloom has a wonderful medium-strong Tea fragrance, that is a showcase of the soft yet complex nature of this scent.
With its mix of soft yellow hues, this rose first emerges with attractive pink-tinged buds. As they open, it reveals yellow blooms with a rich yellow centre and pale white edges that accentuates and highlights the beauty of the flowers.
This rose is a versatile choice that can be grown in large pots and containers to add colour and interest to patio and seating areas, or grown as a scented rose hedge to add zoning and structure to garden displays.
This rose was bred by David Austin and introduced in 2017. It was named for the artist, designer and founding member of the Bloomsbury Group, Vanessa Bell - sister of the writer, Virginia Woolf.
