Taking its name from the kindhearted hero of George Eliot's classic novel, the David Austin Silas Marner® English Shrub Rose is a gentle beauty with cupped blooms in soft, mid pink hues. The undersides of the rose petals are pale pink and form a ruffled edging around a delightful button eye at its centre. In addition to its wonderful blooms, it has a rich and complex old rose fragrance with hints of fruity lemon, banana and apricot.
Silas Marner® is a very healthy medium-sized shrub with glossy dark green foliage and wide, arching growth. It is a repeat flowering rose, so you will enjoy its beautiful blooms all season long with flushes lasting from late spring through to early winter.
This rose is ideal for planting in rose borders and mixed borders, and makes a wonderful cut flower to admire in displays around the home.
