Young Lycidas® (Ausvibrant) is an impressive medium English shrub rose bred by David Austin® which is available in a 6-litre pot. It has a compact and bushy habit with blooms that are deeply cupped and grow in an array of deep pink hues. In addition to its magnificent blooms, this rose has a wonderful strong Tea and Old Rose fragrance, with hints of cedar wood.
Ideal for planting in a pot or container, this rose will also look beautiful in a rose border or combined with other plants in mixed borders. It also makes an excellent cut flower to admire in floral displays around the home.
This rose was bred by David Austin and introduced in 2008. It was named after the 17th Century poem by John Milton to mark the 400th anniversary of his birth. Interestingly, it was Milton who introduced the word 'fragrance' into the English language.
