Charles Darwin (Auspeet) is an English shrub rose with large mustard-yellow blooms. The shallow, open cupped flowers draw you in with their depth of colour and then delight you with their strong tea fragrance that has notes of lemon.
This medium sized shrub rose has broad, spreading growth with perfectly complementary dark-green foliage that accentuates the beauty of the flowers. It is ideal for planting within mixed borders, or for growing as a fragrance-filled rose hedge. It can also be grown in a large container to create a captivating display on patio areas or positioned in front of an entryway.
Introduced in 2003, David Austin Charles Darwin® (Auspeet) English Shrub Rose was named after the naturalist, biologist and geologist who was born in Shropshire.
