David Austin Dannahue® is an exquisite upright and bushy shrub with elegant apricot-coloured flowers that are perfectly matched by its uplifting sweet, fruity and fresh fragrance.
Repeat flowering from late spring to early winter, it will flourish in containers, against walls or fences as well as in shadier areas making it the perfect choice for a range of garden spaces. It will also make a statement in borders when grouped together with the same variety for an impressive display.
Introduced in 2023, the Dannahue shrub rose was named for British garden designer and TV presenter Danny Clarke. David Austin was inspired following a visit to the 2022 RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden, 'Hands off Mangrove' by not-for-profit Grow2Know. The garden was designed by Danny Clarke and Grow2Know founder, Tayshan Hayden-Smith. Moved by Danny's motivation to make gardening accessible and inclusive, Dannahue which is Danny's birth name, was chosen for this beautiful city dwelling rose.
