One of the darkest and richest types of dahlias, a ‘Tamburo’ tuber grows wine-red flowers that curve into a magnificent cactus-like, pointed shape. Like an explosion from each bud, the petals form a striking spiral formation that dazzles in summer displays.
With a cascade of flowers up to 11cm in diameter, the dark colour of the petals contrasts beautifully with its mid-green leaves. A clump forming variety, it makes an excellent addition to a mixed display of summer blooms but will also thrive in a large container where you can admire its on patio and balcony areas.
A versatile addition to garden displays, it suits a range of outside spaces. From the informality of a cottage garden to smaller spaces such as city and courtyard gardens, its compact growth and floriferous nature will add effortless charm to enjoy year after year.
