A warm and welcoming addition to the summer garden, Dahlia ‘French Cancan’ is a dazzling decorative dahlia with layers of warm peach, salmon, and orange-coloured flowers. With each petal gently twisting, it adds movement and texture to the display.
A striking, versatile addition to a range of places around the garden, this dahlia will happily thrive in a large container on its own or will make a statement planted as part of a mixed display alongside a host of summer flowers such as salvia, cosmos, and exotic looking canna lilies.
With flowers reaching up to 14cm in diameter, they are large enough to make a statement while not being overpowering. The flowers grow on tall, upright stems that reach up to a metre in height, so they are the perfect choice for breaking up displays and adding height to the garden. They also make a wonderful addition to cut flower arrangements around the home.
Reliable and low maintenance, simply plant your dahlia tuber in a sheltered but sunny position in a moist, free draining soil. Remember to dead head the spent blooms as this will encourage new buds to form, and add a layer of protection from the harsh winter weather.
