With pink-flushed, creamy-white flowers that appear from July through to September, the mix of hues means it can be added to a variety of different colour combinations making it highly versatile and adaptable for different gardens.
A popular choice for adding to wedding bouquets, the timelessly beautiful formation of the petals creates dazzling displays. When admired in the garden, they grow on slender stems that reach up to 100cm tall, making it perfect for filling out the back of a summer border.
Grown best in full sun, aim to plant tubers approximately 15cm/6" deep and 60cm/24" apart into moist but well-drained soil with sufficient shelter from strong winds. It is best to wait until the soil has warmed up in late spring or early summer before planting.
To get the best from your 'Cafe au Lait' dahlia, remember to deadhead the flowers regularly to encourage new blooms that last through to autumn. Provide a layer of protection from harsh winter weather and you will enjoy these flowers for many years to come.
