Dahlia 'Sunshine' is a stunning addition to any garden, adding a pop of vibrant colour and lush foliage. Available as a single tuber, it grows flowers with bright yellow and orange petals above dark green leaves, to make a statement in the summer garden. The delightful blooms measure up to 9cm in diameter and look charming in cut flower arrangements around the home.
A winner of multiple awards including the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit, 'Sunshine' tubers are easy to plant and maintain. It should be planted in well-drained soil in a sunny spot in the garden. Tubers should be planted around 15cm/6" deep and spaced around 60cm/24" apart. They require regular watering and fertilising to ensure they thrive. Deadheading the flowers is also recommended to encourage the plant to produce more blooms.
'Sunshine' is borderline hardy and may need protection in winter. It is resistant to most common pests and diseases, so it will stay looking at its best with minimal care. It will flower from mid-summer until the first frost, providing a long season of colour to enjoy.
